MISSIONS

At Crosspoint Community Church, we believe God has called us to reach both near and far with the HOPE and LOVE of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8). We are driven to reach people with the life-changing message of the Gospel!

Acts 1:8 teaches us “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  Based on this passage, our mission team allocates resources to three different areas; Jerusalem (local ministries), Judea and Samaria (regional and national ministries) and to the ends of the earth (global ministries).

JERUSALEM / LOCAL MINISTRIES

  • Heartline / Heart House: A local organization offering two diverse services to assist those in need in our community. Heartline offers numerous forms of assistance to Woodford County residents. Heart House offers shelter services to women and children.  Check out their upcoming fundraiser:  the Annual Race With Your Heart

JUDEA and SAMARIA / REGIONAL and NATIONAL MINISTRIES

  • Redeemer Community Church in Minonk, IL: A Gospel-centered church plant launched together by Crosspoint Community Church, Christ Community Church (Gridley, IL), and Community Bible Fellowship (El Paso, IL) into a neighboring area. Redeemer Community Church aims to be a community where broken people are being gracefully remade into the image of Jesus Christ.

ENDS OF THE EARTH / GLOBAL MINISTRIES

  • Adoption of an “Unreached People Group” in Papua New Guinea:  Crosspoint partners with Ethnos 360, specifically the LeBlanc and DeValve families (as well as a 3rd family not yet known), to reach an unreached people group in Papua New Guinea - currently home to over 850 different people groups, over half of them still unreached. Crosspoint is supporting the LeBlanc and Devalve Team Fund which allows resources for house building expenses, printing literacy materials, translation printing, Bible printing, flying the necessary people in/out of the tribe, medical evacuations, church material expenses, and more. We are committed to pray for, financially and emotionally support, be wholly invested in, and participate in the action of sending missionaries to plant churches and make disciples, until the people group has a sustaining, self-propagating church in their midst. Currently, the LeBlancs and DeValves are surveying the island and praying through which specific tribal people group they will move into. They hope to have this decision by the end of 2021.

  • Compassion International: Our SonChasers Children’s Ministry is currently supporting 7 children through Compassion International. Each Sunday, children in SonChasers give an offering as part of their worship time which goes directly toward the support of these 7 children whom they correspond with and pray for throughout the year.

  • Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse International Relief: The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Crosspoint participates in this annual project and serves as a drop-off location within our community.
